Meeting among Ministers of Finance
As international cooperation on climate change has significant economic implications, there is an ongoing series of discussions among finance ministers in international forums.
The discussions take place in connection with the UN’s annual climate summits, in OECD and in the World Bank / IMF.
Moreover, the economic implications of climate cooperation are also being discussed among regional finance ministers in the EU and the Nordic level.
The aim is, inter alia, to ensure that mitigation measures are carried out as cost-efficiently as possible and that the international climate financing on the one hand delivers and on the other hand that it is used for the right purpose in accordance with the agreements.
