Centre for revenue policy

The focus of tax policy analysis – which covers personal, business and consumption taxes – is to inform decision-making on tax issues taking into account distortions, income distribution and revenue effects of the tax system.

Key elements are how taxes influence the incentives to work, save and invest in physical and human capital.

The analysis in the area of financial markets is mainly related to the evaluation of alternative government debt financing strategies with the key objective of minimizing the governments' debt service costs at an acceptable risk level as well as other financial market issues including financial regulation and financial stability.
