5. Division
The division covers the areas of health policy and health economics including hospitals, primary care and other medical care, prevention and the budgets of the regional authorities responsible for hospitals, subsidies for pharmaceuticals and the main parts of primary care.
Within these areas the division produces expenditure analysis, evaluation of policy instruments and performs various tasks in relation to the national budget and the budget negotiations with the regional authorities.
The division is also responsible for monitoring the budget of the Ministry of the Interior and Health.
