• ECOFIN council

  The Council meets in ECOFIN formation around once a month to discuss various economic and financial issues.

• EU economic and political coordination

  The EU has expansive economic policy cooperation.

• The EU budget

  The EU budget is the field of responsibility of The Ministry of Finance when it comes to the coordination of the Danish government’s position.

• Financial Impacts of EU Legislation

  The assessment of financial impacts of proposed EU legislation is an important aspect when the Danish position is to be defined.

• International Cooperation on Climate Change

  The Ministry of Finance participates in the Danish government’s Climate Summit Committee, which prepares the UN climate summit in Copenhagen in 2009. Furthermore, the Ministry of Finance participates in international meetings in which the economic implications of the international action on climate change are debated.

• OECD

  The Danish Ministry of Finance attends several OECD working groups.

• IMF

  The Danish Ministry of Finance and the central bank of Denmark (“Danmarks Nationalbank”) jointly handle Denmark’s relations with the IMF.

• Nordic and Baltic Sea Co-operation

  The Ministry of Finance participates in different forums for economic co-operation with our Nordic and Baltic Sea neighbours.
