Macroeconomic Policy Centre
The centre monitors the Danish and international economy and investigates the key macroeconomic relationships between, for instance, unemployment and inflation, interest rates and savings etc.
The centre also estimates how the Danish economy is affected by the economic policy, international developments and other factors that may influence the conditions of the Danish economy.
Our tasks include: socio-economic impact analysis and estimates, monitoring the business cycle, economic modelling (ADAM and DREAM), short term forecasting, medium and long term projections, automatic social transfer regulation, wage development and the Ministry of Finance Working Paper series.
The centre is one of the main units behind the triannual “Economic Survey” (presenting updated short term projections) and is responsible for preparing the medium term economic strategy (e.g the “2015-plan”), which is annually updated in connection with preparing Denmark’s Convergence Programme for the EU.
